With umami-rich miso, a savory sauce, and a gingery bite, this easy shogayaki recipe is a treat for the tastebuds. Serve with steamed rice.
Delicious Buta Miso Shogayaki Recipe
Ingredients:
(Serves 1)
- 1 tsp cooking oil
- 1/4 white onion, sliced
- 3-4 oz pork belly, cut into bite sized pieces
- 2-3 tsps Mekhala Organic Ginger Miso Paste
- Water
- Salt to taste
- Green onion (for garnishing)
- Sesame seeds (for garnishing)
Method:
- This is one of the easiest miso pork recipes you’ll find out there. Fry onion in oil on medium heat until translucent.
- Add in pork and fry for about 1 minute.
- Add Mekhala Organic Ginger Miso Paste and a few tablespoons of water to make the ginger miso stir-fry sauce.
- Stir fry for another 5-7 minutes until pork is fully cooked. This may take longer if you have larger pieces.
- Salt to taste.
- Take off heat and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. (optional)
- Serve your stir-fried pork with ginger and enjoy!
