Red Curry Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Whoever thought curry and grilled cheese could come together so deliciously? At Mekhala, we love the idea of spicing up classics! Our curry sandwich is perfect for days when you’re in a rush, but would love gorging on something quick, easy, and tasty. It’s spicy, aromatic and comforting! Combining curry with cheese will be the best thing you’ll ever do!

Red Curry Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 1) :

  • 2 slices of your favorite bread
  • 2 slices of your favorite melty cheese (Gruyere is recommended)
  • 2 tsp Mekhala Organic Red Curry Paste
  • 3-4 tsp coconut cream
  • Butter or margarine

Method:

  1. To put this red curry sandwich together, mix Mekhala Organic Red Curry Paste and coconut cream together.
  2. Preheat pan over low-medium heat.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread
  4. Place one slice of bread butter side down onto the pan.
  5. Spread 1 tsp of the red curry mixture onto the bread on the pan, followed by the cheese.
  6. Spread 2 tsp of the red curry mixture onto the other slice of bread and place it on top of the already frying slice to sandwich the cheese.
  7. Flip the curry sandwich periodically to evenly fry both pieces of bread.
  8. Serve the red curry grilled cheese sandwich with a garnish of parsley and the remaining red curry mixture for a dip. We’ll leave the sandwich plating to your imagination.
