Ingredients:
1 Onion, minced
1 Carrot, finely shredded/chopped
1 Block of firm tofu
1/2 Cup of teriyaki sauce
1/8 Cup soy sauce
50 Wonton wrappers
Oil for frying and deep frying
Mekhala Sweet and Tangy Pineapple Sauce
Method:
1. Marinade tofu with teriyaki and soy sauce for 15 minutes. Crush the tofu with a ladle until crumbly.
2. Add 1 tbsp oil to a large frypan or wok over medium heat. Add chopped onion and stir fry minced carrot, onion, tofu and any excess sauce.
3. Carefully wrap up the wonton, using 1 tsp of filling wonton and placing them on a floured surface.
4. On medium-high heat, fry the wontons until both sides are lightly browned, set aside the finished wontons to cool, and dip in Mekhala Sweet and Tangy Pineapple Sauce to enjoy!
