Dairy-free Butter Chicken Recipe
Ingredients (Sauce/Marinade):
- 1.5lb / 700gm chicken thigh meat, bite sized
- 2 teaspoons Mekhala Organic Butter Masala Paste
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup thickened cream (Dairy-free option: 0.5 cup coconut cream + 0.5 cup stock)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Some cream for drizzling on top
Method:
- To make this easy butter chicken recipe, heat vegetable oil in a saucepan and brown chicken pieces.
- Add Mekhala Organic butter Masala Paste, tomato puree, and cream and mix well to combine. Use coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
- Simmer on low heat till cooked (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).
- Dish into a serving bowl, drizzle some cream on top and serve hot with steamed rice or toasted naan bread.
