Indian Chana Makhani Recipe
Ingredients (Sauce/Marinade):
- 1.5lb/700gm tinned chickpeas, drained
- 2 teaspoons Mekhala Organic Butter Masala Paste
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup thickened cream or coconut cream
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Chopped tomatoes and cilantro for garnish
Method:
- How to make Chana Makhani, you ask? Simply saute chickpeas with vegetable oil in a hot pan.
- Add Mekhala Organic Butter Masala Paste, tomato puree, and cream and mix well to combine. Use coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
- Simmer on low heat till cooked (approximately 10 minutes).
