Basil Garlic Portobello Mushroom Burger

These Basil Garlic Paste-marinated Portobello mushrooms “patties” were so juicy and tender that no additional sauce was required for these burgers! We were also pleasantly surprised by how substantial they were, despite being meat-free!

Serves 4
4 Portobello mushrooms
1-2 Tbsp Mekhala Basil Garlic Paste
1 Avocado, seed removed, sliced
4 Hamburger buns
1 Small handful of rocket leaves
1 Medium tomato, sliced

1. Marinate mushrooms in Mekhala Basil Garlic Paste for about 15 minutes.
2. Grill mushrooms on a stove-top griddle pan, under oven grill or on a regular barbecue/grill until tender (about 3-5 minutes on each side).
3. Assemble burgers and serve.
